Atom Trainers Logo of Magneto-optical Trap

The Atom Trainers are an Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics research group led by Prof. Thad G. Walker  within the Department of Physics  of the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  Our research centers on atomic quantum sensors of various types, including magnetometers, NMR gyros, and tunable Rydberg RF detectors. We are also part of the Wisconsin Quantum Institute, and the NSF QLCI Hybrid Quantum Architectures and Networks center, which supports a collaboration with Prof. Deniz Yavuz on collective emission by cold atoms. We are located on the 5th floor of Chamberlin Hall.
